Riding School

Lessons

We have horses and ponies to suit any age and level of rider – children can start from the age of 5. Our friendly instructors provide high quality group, semi-private and private lessons.

We can provide hats. If you wish to have regular lessons we suggest purchasing your own from a tack shop with a registered hat fitter.

We recommend a boot or shoe with a small heel, either a school shoe or walking boot. Not trainers.

Jodphurs are ideal but not compulsory. Tracksuit bottoms are fine.

Hacks

An experienced member of staff will lead you through the bridle paths and countryside around Bretford.

Riders must be 14 years old or over unless you hold personal rider insurance.

New clients will be required to have a brief assessment before being allowed to hack.

High visibility jackets will be provided.

Day Courses

Run throughout the school holidays. The courses are split into groups of similar ability.

Advanced, Intermediate, Novice & Pre-Novice.

Riders are responsible for their horse for the day, helping to gain confidence in equine management. These courses are great fun and always popular.

Camps

Camps take place in the school summer holidays. Advanced, Intermediate, Novice camps are a 5 days in duration (9am-4pm) and lunch is included, Pre-Novice is 3 days in duration (9am-4pm) lunch is included.

Adult camp is residential, two days, one night in a tent on site, all meals are included.

The staff are always coming up with new challenges for the riders. 2024 promises to be no exception…
